Notable Pipeline Projects under Implementation
MPPL (Panipat-Churwa section) from Crude Oil to Product
The Project involves change of service of 22” dia 1120 Km long Panipat Churwa section of Old MPPL line from crude oil service to product service after commissioning of New MPPL to evacuate products ex. Panipat Refinery to Marketing terminals at Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Sidhpur and Kandla.
Siliguri-Jhapa Pipeline Project & Greenfield terminal at Jhapa
The project involves laying of 8” Dia, 50 km, 1 MMTPA, transnational pipeline (36 km in India and 14 km in Nepal) from Siliguri to Jhapa (SJPL) & construction of a greenfield terminal at Jhapa (Nepal). The pipeline is being laid as a strategic investment by IOCL under the B2B agreement between IOCL and NOC (Nepal Oil Corporation). This will ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of POL to Nepal to meet its energy needs.
Amlekhgunj-Chitwan Pipeline Project & Greenfield terminal at Chitwan
The project involves laying of 10” Dia, 62 km, 2 MMTPA, pipeline from Amlekhgunj to Chitwan (SJPL) & construction of a greenfield terminal at Chitwan (Nepal). The pipeline is being laid as a strategic investment by IOCL under the B2B agreement between IOCL and NOC (Nepal Oil Corporation). This will ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of POL to Nepal to meet its energy needs.
New Mundra-Panipat Crude Oil Pipeline
The project involves laying a new 17.5 MMTPA crude oil pipeline from Mundra in Gulf of Kutch to Panipat in Haryana at a cost of around INR 9000 crore to meet the enhanced crude oil requirement of Panipat Refinery.
ATF pipeline from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA)
This Project involves laying an ATF pipeline from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) at a cost of INR 165 crore.
Hazaribagh-Ranchi Natural Gas Pipeline
The project involves laying a Natural Gas pipeline from Hazaribagh to Ranchi in Jharkhand at a cost of around INR 200 crore.
For monetisation of North Karanpura Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Block at Hazaribagh, being developed by IndianOil and its consortium partners, this pipeline is being developed to connect the CBM block with GAIL's Urja Ganga pipeline.
Extension of Panipat-Jalandhar LPG Pipeline up to Goindwal Sahib Bottling plant
The project involves laying of an 85-km long LPG pipeline at a cost of INR 135 crore, from Jalandhar to Goindwal Sahib Bottling Plant in Punjab, as an extension of Panipat-Jalandhar LPG Pipeline.
